Project Details
CE Group, a leading electrical industrial contractor, was engaged by Kilcoy Pastoral Company (KPC) to deliver a comprehensive, turn-key electrical solution for the Carcass Conveyor system. This system forms an integral part of the new boning facility at KPC’s Kilcoy processing plant. The project required not only expert knowledge in electrical systems but also seamless coordination with KPC to ensure the system was built to their specific needs.
The scope of works included direct collaboration with KPC to design, install, and commission a stand-alone Motor Control Centre (MCC) for the Carcass Conveyor system. Additionally, CE Group handled the complete design and programming of the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), which was closely integrated with the Human Machine Interface (HMI) to provide optimal control and user interaction.
Furthermore, CE Group’s in-house team designed and manufactured the new MCC, allowing for full control over the quality and specifications. Throughout the project, CE Group worked hand-in-hand with KPC to meet all design requirements and ensure a smooth integration of the new system into the facility.
Importantly, this project ran concurrently with several other work fronts within the plant, requiring CE Group to maintain a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. Clear communication between teams and strong project management allowed the work to be completed within the scheduled time frames, meeting KPC’s expectations. This success highlights CE Group’s strength as an electrical industrial contractor capable of delivering high-quality, complex electrical solutions on time and within scope.
