Walk for Awareness

Did you know every year a staggering 190 Australians working in construction take their own lives? This means we sadly lose a construction worker every second day to suicide.

In an industry as diverse as it is challenging, you would struggle to find someone you know or have worked with who hasn’t been affected by mental health at some time.

Suicide seems to be a part of the reality of working in construction. At CE Group, we are taking steps to be 1% better every day at breaking the stigma around discussing and supporting one another when it comes to mental health.

Through fostering a positive mental health workplace, we encourage our team to get involved with events such as Walk for Awareness.

This year, we have the great privilege of sponsoring the event and taking a step (9km worth, to be exact) toward a world where mental health is no longer an issue we face.

Our Managing Director, Ryan Johnson, spent some time with the team for Walk for Awareness to discuss what mental health means to CE Group as a business.
