Hayman Island – STP
Hayman Island, Queensland

Project Details

The existing Hayman Island Sewerage Treatment Plant, located on the southwestern side of the island off the coast of Central Queensland, required significant upgrades to meet the high standards of the resort and accommodate growing tourist activity. To address this, CE Group, as a trusted electrical water infrastructure contractor, was engaged to design, implement, and install a new electrically automated sewerage treatment control system. This upgrade was essential to ensure the plant’s continued operation in line with the resort’s expansion plans.

The team at CE Group faced several challenging design parameters, particularly focusing on reducing power consumption while ensuring environmental durability. Despite these challenges, CE Group was able to design a system that balanced energy efficiency with operational reliability. Importantly, the project was executed without any disruption to the daily operations of the resort, a critical factor given the island’s popularity as a high-end tourist destination.

This project was delivered to the highest standards, emphasising CE Group’s capability as a leading electrical water infrastructure contractor. It also showcased the company’s ability to deliver turnkey solutions with a focus on innovation and collaboration. The engineering and infrastructure services team worked closely with the client to ensure a robust, fit-for-purpose installation that not only met current demands but also supported future growth.

Through this successful delivery, CE Group reinforced its reputation for providing exceptional engineering solutions, underscoring its ability to meet client needs while adhering to strict environmental and operational guidelines. The project further demonstrated CE Group’s expertise in tackling complex water infrastructure projects in remote locations, ensuring both sustainability and efficiency.
