CE Group, a well-established electrical contractor in PNG, recently completed the infrastructure and electrical works for the Lombrum Naval Base on Manus Island. The project involved various buildings, ranging from accommodation and meal facilities for naval and land personnel to ammunition storage, marine fueling structures, and security facilities. Additionally, it included power station facilities, water processing plants, shared community areas, and an operational headquarters, showcasing the broad scope of the work.

The Lombrum Naval Base, also known as HMPNGS Tarangau, plays a critical role in PNG’s defence operations. As part of the Maritime Operations Element of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF), the base required strict adherence to defence standards and security protocols. CE Group’s involvement in this significant project underscored their ability to manage and deliver complex electrical installations in highly regulated environments.

To ensure the project’s success, CE Group took responsibility for a wide range of tasks, including specialised high-voltage (HV) works and the installation of overhead powerlines.
