Project Details
The Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC) has become a familiar site for CE Group’s ACT Operations team in recent years. This long-standing relationship with Downer Utilities continues to strengthen, as CE Group has been awarded the Electrical Works contract for the LMWQCC Furnace and Exhaust Upgrade Project. As an experienced electrical water infrastructure contractor, CE Group brings expertise to this critical project.
The scope of the project involves upgrading the Centre’s furnace and exhaust systems. These upgrades are essential to ensure the facility complies with regulatory submission requirements and continues to operate efficiently. Additionally, the improvements are aimed at minimising the environmental impact on surrounding areas. CE Group has been entrusted with the supply and installation of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), Input/Output (IO) controllers, and all necessary instrumentation. Furthermore, CE Group will handle the cabling and associated support systems, ensuring that everything operates seamlessly.
Given that the Lower Molonglo facility is the main wastewater treatment plant for the ACT and the largest inland treatment facility in Australia, this project is of vital importance. CE Group is excited to contribute to the maintenance and upgrade of such an integral piece of the region’s infrastructure. The company’s role as an electrical water infrastructure contractor allows them to play a key part in ensuring the plant continues to meet environmental standards while serving the community.
By collaborating with Downer Utilities and leveraging their extensive experience, CE Group will help ensure the project is delivered successfully. The company is proud to be involved in yet another significant project at LMWQCC, reinforcing their reputation for excellence in the water infrastructure sector.
